Soccer Academy

At Ghetto Soccer For Hope, we started the Ghetto Soccer Academy to represent our ethos of the principles of compassion and community, fueled by a profound dedication to soccer excellence. Nestled within a dynamic neighborhood, we transcend mere sports training, serving as a beacon of optimism and opportunity.

Who We Serve

Our academy is dedicated solely to the welfare of orphans and children from the most marginalized backgrounds, including those affected by various hardships. These youngsters often reside in households led by children or with relatives who prioritize survival over education due to the challenges prevalent in ghetto communities. Thus, beyond academic provision, our initiative seeks to instill Christian values and practices within our academy community.

Soccer serves as a unifying force, particularly among youth in disadvantaged areas. Our academy has positively impacted numerous vulnerable and orphaned children, uncovering sporting talent amidst the alleys of Kampala’s ghettos. We actively seek out gifted individuals under 18 years old, organizing sports events to scout for potential stars.

Through our academy, we facilitate educational sponsorship, establish orphanages, initiate agricultural projects like piggeries and goat rearing, and procure land for a modern sports complex encompassing football and netball facilities. These endeavors are currently in progress, reflecting our commitment to nurturing vulnerable youth and fostering talent in football/soccer, as well as other sports like netball and volleyball.
